Health certificate Requirements for Local Surrounding States

Iowa
Dog owners are required to carry proof of vaccination against standard canine diseases.  Rabies vaccination papers are required.  If you are in the state for more than 1 week you are required to have a health certificate.

Nebraska
All dogs and cats entering the state shall be accompanied by a health certificate which certifies that the dog or cat is currently immunized agains rabies.  Each town or city has its own requirement regarding the rabies vaccination (annual or multiple years).  The certificate must be current within the past 30 days.

North Dakota
No health certificate is required for North Dakota if you are in the state less than 30 days.  If you are in the state longer than 30 days you must have a health certificate.

South Dakota
Any dog or cat imported into the state of South Dakota must be accompanies by a health certificate.
